On one particular road trip growing up, mom had fallen asleep and we needed to get gas. Dad eased off the interstate and made for a gas station. Mom was still asleep. He shushed us and smiled. While she was still asleep, he pulled right up to the front of a parked semi. In rudimentary sign language instructions, he told us to scream on the count of 3. Which we did. Mom woke up, and all she saw was the front of this semi bearing down on us. She screamed. We laughed. She slapped dad. It was spectacular.
