The reception, I must say, was an uberblast.
Absofreakinglutely.
It started with dorky, funny pictures staged by my splendiferous step-mom, where my dad couldn’t wait to get rid of me….
….and Scope’s parents couldn’t wait to get rid of him….
….and Scope’s mom and I had a big ol’ tug-o-war over him (“leggo—he’s MINE!!!!”)….
*snicker*
Our Best Man, Tony, gave a spectacular speech….
.
.
….and we cut the cake, with a special surprise for my brother’s girlfriend sneakily delivered first (hee hee hee)….
.
.
We got our cake at Safeway.
(Yes, the grocery store!)
(Yes, really!!)
Despite the store bakery staff’s complete and utter lack of confidence that they could actually do a wedding cake any sort of justice whatsoever (they were sooooooooooooooooooooooo jittery and radiating pure panic over it, I almost felt mean for asking them to do it) (almost), the cake turned out beautiful, elegant and extremely delicious….
Yummmmm.
I threw my bouquet…. and clocked the poor girl who caught it right on the nose with it (whoopsie! My bad)….
I don’t really have any good pictures of the bouquet toss. Yet. But I do have it on video….
.
.
And Scope threw my garter. After removing it with his teeth. *wink wink*….
We have all that fun caught on video too (heh heh heh)….
.
.
And then with our fabulous DJ/Master of Ceremonies, Kenny, pulling the strings, we danced the night away….
We even danced the Hokey Pokey (this was our Father/Daughter Dance, by the way. *snicker*)….
If you live in Western Washington and you need a DJ for anything, YOU WANT KENNY from Action Entertainment. No, no arguing—YOU WANT KENNY!! You DO. You JUST DO. Kenny is absolutely amazing! We had sooooooooooo much fun!!!! :-)
We hung out with great friends….
There were kisses….
There were hugs….
(Awwwwwwwwwwwwww.)
And in a flash, it seemed, the night came to an end and Scope and I left the party and hit Seattle to get a shot of ourselves by the Space Needle….
Then we headed for our hotel. And the rest of it is nunnaya bidness.
Up next: the honeymoon in San Francisco!

You know, I just love that photo of Gwen and I.
And the reception did just ZOOOOM, didn't it?
I said it over at Scope's but I'll say it again here. Congrats.
And Scope's right, that picture of him and Gwen is fantastic.

Oh, I love weddings with cake.
Wait, all weddings have cake? I should shoot my ex-husband. I didn't have a cake, or non that was recognizable as a cake. That's why he is an ex now. Congratulations to you both!
Looks like a great time. Congrats
the reception was fantastic!
where did you stay in Seattle?
And what was behind the hokey pokey father/daughter dance?
Scope: I love that photo too. Definitely wall-worthy. :-)
Joshua: Awww, thank you!
Demigoddess: *gasp* NO CAKE???? I'm not surprised it didn't work out either! ;-) Actually, I should tell you about my first wedding sometime and we should compare notes. I had to decorate my own wedding cake when I married my ex.... and I spent the entire reception in a handmade Marvin the Martian Halloween costume too. *rolling my eyes*
Shana: It was a fantastic time! :-)
Callista: Well, my dad was horrified at the idea of dancing with me in front of real live people. That sounds bad, but it's not - he's just not the dancing type. Scope and his mom were dancing, so we felt we had to do something too, so I picked the Hokey Pokey because that meant EVERYONE had to dance with us so no-one would be focused on my nervous dad. Of course, my dad being my dad, he totally misunderstood what I was plotting and I got a series of panicked phone calls about it the day before the wedding because he thought I meant he had to SING the Hokey Pokey on the mic while he danced it and he didn't know what order to tell everybody to do the moves in! He had even tried to google the "correct" order for doing the Hokey Pokey and came up with different answers and he was freaking out!! I'm like, "Dad, the DJ has a CD. All you have to do is follow the directions. It'll be fine, I promise." Wow.
Send me an email (or Scope) and I'll send you your wedding gift...which is....
A picture of me. Dr Zibbs.
If you want it that is.
Awwwww!!!!! Awesome videos and pics...especially the 'hug' picture. AbsoLUTEly wall-worthy!
My oldest bro got married on my 16th birthday. When it came to singing 'Happy Birthday' everyone got into it, but when they got to 'Dear Jooodi', 1/2 the voices stopped because they didn't know my name. It was too funny!
Awesome stuff, and I am really enjoying all the posts and pictures!
Can I jut say that Gwens stockings rock?
HEY, that looked like a really GREAT DAY!!! Happy for you, Cora!
