Class. And Doilies.

[….and the Corascope Chronicles continue….]

Last Saturday (well, not last Saturday—but last last Saturday), when Scope was in town, he and I enjoyed a nice, quiet, lovely breakfast together in all our Miss Manners-approved, respectable, sophisticated, refined maturity.

*le classy sigh*

Or we noshed on left over pizza while laughing our faces off at dozens of those Bud Light: Real Men of Genius commercials. You decide.
.

.
(Mr. Silent Killer Gas Passer is my FAVORITE!!)

*snicker*

Anyway….

We eventually tore ourselves way from the commercials and ventured out into the world where we ate lunch off of hubcaps (the classiness just keeps on a-coming, don’t it?!?!) at Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse; saw Iron Man 2 at the local theater; and met up with Callista and her hubby, Mad Dog, at Armondo’s for dinner and lots of glorious geekified conversation.

Not a bad day at all, if I do say so myself.

And I do say so. So there!

But, wait—there’s more!:

Sunday we took my mom and daughter out to breakfast for Mother’s Day at the doily-deluged Plum Delicious restaurant in Renton….

Seriously, there are doilies EVERYWHERE in that place! It’s like there was an explosion at Grandma’s house! And don’t those doily-drenched lampshades look like jellyfish swimming over our heads?….

Bizarre.

But anyway….

We met my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew there. The food was delicious and we all had a good time.

After breakfast, we went back to my house for a little while so my daughter could challenge Scope to a game of badminton while I took pictures of my niece running in circles around me in the grass….

But then, most sadly, it was time for me to take Scope to the airport and release him back into the wild. And we all know how much I HATE doing that!!

*sniffle*

*pout*

How many days until this wedding thingy again????….

46 days, 9 hours per the little gadget on the sidebar.

And, as you know, we had eaten at Jimmy Mac's once before, the day after Thanksgiving, and had the same waitress. And she remembered us. We must leave an impression.

Or a decent tip.

Those are excellent commercials, aren't they? They play some on the radio on the sports channel I listen to, my favorite there is Mr Rolling Cooler inventor. You have it all, except a single other friend to help you carry your cooler!

I gotta get me a kid so I can get taken out for breakfast!

You guys got drunk on dozens of Bud light? Is that light in alcohol or light in fat? Regardless, that at least explains why you lost track of the days. Oh, Scope remembers though. I guess he can hold more Bud light.

If 46 days sounds like a long time away, think of it this way...

A month and a half!

Feel better? : )

I bopped over to your blog from Weekly Jules and while reading I started wondering, do they have Jimmy Mac's in other states? And Plum Delicious? I've heard of Plum Delicious, but I've never been. Then you said Renton. Well Holy Bleepers, I know where in the World you are!

I'm in the Sumner/Bonney Lake area. We love Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse. Anyway, love your blog and it's quite fun to read about places you know...that sounds weird, I mean it's fun to see these places through other people's eyes. Congrats on the upcoming wedding. And, I totally understand your fears about ex husband messing up the divorce papers (I felt the same way when I married my now-husband).
